Altman Foundation grants support programs and institutions that enrich the quality of life in New York City, with a particular focus on initiatives that help individuals, families, and communities benefit from the services and opportunities that will enable them to achieve their full potential. The Altman Foundation supports organizations involved in education, health, strengthening communities, and arts and culture.
With support from the Altman Foundation, PHI led a multi-year advocacy campaign to establish a new rung in the career ladder available to New York’s home care workers. State legislation creating the Advanced Home Health Aide (AHHA) occupation was signed in 2016.
