“Family Members Do Give Hard Times”: Home Health Aides’ Perceptions of Worker–Family Dynamics in the Home Care Setting

Through qualitative research, this study examined how home health aides perceived their relationship with family caregivers. Relationships usually fell into three categories: independent; competitive; or carative. Participants identified strategies for employer agencies to help aides better navigate these sometimes challenging relationships.
