March 28, 2013

An April 4 webinar will examine immigration reform’s potential impact on long-term care for elders and people with disabilities.

Among other topics, webinar participants are expected to discuss how immigration reform can address the growing need for good direct-care jobs.

Congress is expected to draft immigration-reform legislation later this year.

The webinar will be co-hosted by the Friday Morning Collaborative and Caring Across Generations. It will be moderated by Joe Caldwell of the National Council on Aging and Jason Coates of the National Hispanic Council on Aging.

Other participants include:

  • Ai-jen Poo and Sarita Gupta,  Caring Across Generations
  • Rahnee Patrick, Hand in Hand: The Domestic Employers Association & Access Living
  • Jenny Rejeske, National Immigration Law Center

Registration is free, but space is limited. More information is available online.
