FAQ Offers Guidance for Nursing Homes on New Quality Initaitives

Nursing home administrators who are curious about nursing home quality initiatives now have access to a Frequently Asked Questions document (pdf), produced jointly by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the national Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes campaign.
The FAQ answers common questions about:
The Advancing Excellence campaign;
Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), an Affordable Care Act provision that requires CMS to develop new nursing home regulations;
The National Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative; and
The National Partnership to Improve Dementia Care in Nursing Homes.
The FAQ also answers questions pertaining to the ways in which these initiatives interact with one another.
