Family Caregivers Encouraged to Submit Their Stories to Contest

November 25, 2014

Family caregivers are encouraged to submit stories about their experiences to The John A. Hartford Foundation‘s 2015 story contest.

The foundation wants caregivers — or their health care providers — to describe the challenges or problems they have faced while providing care, and the solutions they have reached to ensure quality care for their loved ones.

Stories about caring for elders with dementia are of particular interest, the foundation’s website says.

The deadline for submission in January 15, 2015. Stories can be submitted in written form, or as a short video or photo essay. First prize is $3,000.

Full guidelines are available at the website of The Hartford Foundation.
