VP of Partnerships & Engagement

Ben Freeman, PHI’s VP of Partnerships & Engagement, collaboratively drives the organization’s resource development, marketing, communications, and public education strategies, and shapes work to ensure that PHI’s IT platforms and systems drive efficient cross-functional internal engagement, and proactive external engagement.

He brings two decades of experience in nonprofit development, marketing, and communications, with a past background in IT, technology systems, and tech customer support/client engagement.

From 2004-2014, he served as PHI’s Development Director, helping to scale our organization’s work to improve working conditions for direct-care workers, and improve care for elders and people living with disabilities. From 2015 to early 2024, he served in leadership roles for The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, driving advancement, awareness, and high-profile donor engagement strategy as the organization grew from 10 to 50+ FTE.

Ben received a BA from Brooklyn College. He serves as a member of World FTD United’s Executive Committee, an international coalition dedicated to raising global awareness of the most common dementia for people under 60.

Personal and professional interest in improving the lives of direct-care workers, family caregivers, elders, people living with disabilities, people living with neurodegenerative diseases, and people living with chronic conditions informs every aspect of his work.
