This report summarizes an effort led by the Center for Health Care Strategies to understand the direct care work landscape in Michigan. Researchers interviewed key experts on the field in Michgan, inclusive of state officials, home care organizations, long-term care compaies, direct care workers, and care recipients, to gain a comprehensive perspective on what is needed to bolster the direct care workforce and developed policy recommendations.
