Understanding Nursing Home Worker Conceptualizations about Good Care

This qualitative study explores how direct care workers in nursing homes conceptualize good care and how their ideas are influenced by their work environment and their relationships with residents. The results revealed that direct care workers equate good care with resident outcomes, including cleanliness, comfort, and happiness. Good care also included affectionate, respectful, and patient attitudes in the delivery of care.
