Identifies ways that policymakers can promote higher-quality care for nursing home residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The authors argue that policymakers must focus on concepts such as person-centered care, quality of care, and culture change. They cite the necessity of proper nursing home staffing — including staffing of certified nursing assistants — as well as higher training standards for nursing home workers.
