This statement explains how home care workers could take a more integrated role in their clients’ care team. It argues that home care workers would provide more value and better care for their clients if they are given the opportunity to take on an ”advanced aide” role. The statement was first delivered by PHI President Steven L. Dawson to a Senate briefing on home care workers in March 2012.
