Is it too late for me to sign up for health insurance coverage?

Open enrollment through the Health Insurance Marketplace has closed, but there are certain circumstances under which you may be able to still get coverage. If you have had a “qualifying life event” such as moving to a new state, a change in your income, loss of insurance, or change in your family size, you may be able to enroll. Go to www.healthcare.gov for more information.

I heard there is a new Medicaid plan in Michigan. What's that about?

Yes, the Healthy Michigan Plan is a new Medicaid plan available to individuals and families with income less than 133% of the Federal Poverty Level. For more information, go to www.HealthyMichiganPlan.com.

What are these "Navigators" I keep hearing about?

Navigators are people who are trained and certified by the federal government to help you understand what coverage options are available under the Affordable Care Act and help you enroll in the Healthy Michigan Plan. They are employed by community organizations across the state, and are there to answer your questions, not sell you insurance. To find a Navigator in your community, go to www.enrollmichigan.com.
