ACA Expanded Health Coverage for Direct Care Workers, New Data Shows

Access to health coverage improved significantly for direct care workers as a result of the Affordable Care Act. Between 2010 and 2014, half a million workers gained coverage, reducing the uninsured rate among paid caregivers from 28 percent to 21 percent.
