Every year, home health aides, certified nurse aides, and personal care attendants miss out on thousands of dollars worth of tax credits and free tax preparation services.

PHI’s Earn, Keep, Save MORE campaign aims to increase the number of workers that are aware of these tax options so that fewer are among those that fail to claim what they have rightfully earned.

The campaign also helps promote quality jobs by encouraging employers to educate their workers about these valuable resources and can be an entry point for introducing other community supports that promote financial education and stability.

Each year, 20 to 25% of families who are eligible for the EITC do not claim it – either because they do not know about the credit, or because they do not owe any taxes and do not think that they will be eligible for it.
