In 2004 I attended a Cultural Change Conference where I first learned about Bathing without a Battle. At that time I was responsible for giving residents a whirlpool. I had one particular resident who became very combative dyring her bath. With the technique I learned at this conference I was able to bath this resident and others without them becoming upset. I want to say that this approach to bathing is wonderful for both parties involved. I can't wait to read the second edition.
