An online meeting on Monday, May 19, from 1 to 2 p.m. EDT will look at culture change in nursing homes.
Culture Change in Nursing Homes: How Far Have We Come? will be cohosted by the Picker/Commonwealth Fund Quality of Care for Frail Elders program and the Pioneer Network. Michelle Doty of the Commonwealth Fund will present the findings of the fund’s 2007 Survey of Nursing Homes, and Executive Director Bonnie Kantor of the Pioneer Network and Karen Schoeneman of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will look at ongoing efforts to expand the culture of resident-centered care in nursing homes.

I would like to take part in the culture change in nursing homes, however I have a previous workshop to attend. Will this info be available for those who are unable to participate at the specified time?
Yes — I called Commonwealth and was told that a tape of the webinar would be available on their website and the Pioneer Network’s website (http://pioneernetwork.net/) at some point after May 19. Not sure exactly when or where, though I’ll add that info below if I hear more (the woman I talked to said she’d get back to me on that.) But if I haven’t posted another address by May 20, try this page: http://www.commonwealthfund.org/topics/topics_show.htm?doc_id=684599
