Tameshia Bridges, MSW, is the Michigan Senior Health Policy Analyst for PHI’s Health Care for Health Care Workers (HCHCW) project. She is responsible for developing and promoting policy policy strategies to expand and maintain health care coverage for direct-care workers and for supporting PHI’s Michigan policy director and HCHCW campaign staff.
Tameshia has 10 years of health care and policy experience in various capacities, including state policy research and development, practice work with women who are HIV-positive, and public policy advocacy. As a health insurance specialist in the Region V office of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, she was an analyst for the home and community based services (HCBS) waiver program, where she was responsible for assisting states in the development and evaluation of their HCBS waiver programs. Tameshia is a graduate of Stephens College with a degree in political science and women’s studies. She has a master of social work degree with an emphasis in health policy and community development from the Washington University (St. Louis) George Warren Brown School of Social Work.

Tracy Lawless is the Pennsylvania Campaign Coordinator for PHI’s Health Care for Health Care Workers initiative. She is responsible for conducting research, advocacy, and outreach for HCHCW’s county-based research and education project in Pennsylvania, and for supporting strategies to raise awareness of the immediate need for health insurance coverage for direct-care workers.
Prior to joining PHI, Tracy worked as a legislative consultant advocating for biomedical research funding and policy. In her previous position at the American Society for Nutrition, she worked on behalf of nutrition research scientists to increase support for federally funded research programs at the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She received her BA in political science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Allison Lee, is the National Campaign Manager for PHI’s Health Care for Health Care Workers initiative. She is responsible for developing campaign strategy and assisting with implementation of the state campaigns.
Allison has 15 years of experience in mobilizing constituencies to take action in issue and political campaigns. Before joining PHI, she served as a coalition campaign manager for anti-tobacco advocacy campaigns, as a consultant to interest groups in areas of voter mobilization and grassroots action, and as a candidate campaign manager. Most recently she served as a consultant to issue and candidate campaigns, providing strategic planning services, research, and voter contact expertise. Allison is a graduate of Wake Forest University and a native of Maryland. She is based in the national campaign office in Washington, D.C.

Carol Regan, M.P.H. is National Director, Health Care for Health Care Workers campaign, which works to help solve the crisis in long-term care by providing health coverage for its essential workforce. For over twenty-five years, she has worked with national and state health and social justice organizations in policy analysis, strategic campaigns, organizing, and legislative advocacy. She has focused primarily on health insurance coverage, programs and services for low-income children and families; and healthcare-related union programs. Among other writing pertaining to health insurance for workers, Carol co-wrote an issue brief for the Better Jobs, Better Care initiative. She also currently serves on PHI’s Board of Directors.
Before joining PHI, Carol served as Health Policy Director for the Service Employees International Union, the nation’s largest union of health care workers, where she led successful efforts to finance health insurance for long-term care workers. She also worked as a health policy and workforce consultant for the Children’s Defense Fund and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. She earned her master’s in public health from the University of Michigan.
