Brian DiPaolo is PHI’s Development Writer. He writes and edits PHI fundraising materials, working in conjunction with other members of the development team.

Prior to joining PHI, Brian wrote feature articles on controversial social and political issues for an educational periodical. He holds a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from Emerson College in Boston.

Ben Freeman is PHI’s Development Director. After joining the organization in fall 2004 as development writer, he now leads PHI’s growing development team.

Prior to working at PHI, he worked in technology and as a freelance journalist. He holds a B.A. in English from Brooklyn College.

Stu Schneider

Stu Schneider is PHI’s Workforce Development Specialist. Stu supports PHI’s policy and practice consultants through research and writing. In addition, Stu has provided significant assistance in business development and public contract procurement to agencies within PHI’s Cooperative Healthcare Network. Most notably, he secured a $1.4 million grant from the New York State Department of Health to defray the cost of innovative training and employment program of Cooperative Home Care Associates (CHCA). Additionally, he prepared a business development plan, outlining strategies for CHCA to enter the private pay market, and a $5.3 million proposal to obtain a personal care services contract from the City of New York.

Prior to joining PHI’s staff, Stu was the Director of Economic Development at the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation where he secured $1 million in financial commitments for various projects. He graduated cum laude from Rutgers College in 1997 with a B.A. in economics and urban studies and a certificate from Eagleton Institute of Public Policy.

Regina Woods

Regina Woods is PHI’s Development Specialist. Along with PHI’s development director, workforce development specialist, and other senior staff, she authors fundraising materials and contributes to other PHI fundraising efforts.

Prior to joining the development team, Regina worked as a freelance features writer and magazine editor, contributing to a variety of publications. She received her master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.
