Richard Luong is PHI’s Help Desk Analyst. He supports the director of information technology in upgrading and maintaining all company software and hardware and helping staff with network and equipment issues.

Before joining PHI, Richard was a production coordinator for Data Conversion Laboratory, where he was responsible for editing and ensuring quality on digital documents. He also served as a technical support representative for Cablevision. He received a BS in Computer Science from Queens College, New York.

Martha Medina

Martha Medina is PHI’s Human Resources Manager. She is responsible for administering a broad range of HR functions, including but not limited to employment document drafting, employee relations, performance management, personnel policy analysis and implementation. She also provides supporting knowledge of systems and practices, employment/labor laws and regulations.

Before joining PHI, Martha was an employee relations officer for a bank and a human resources specialist for a not-for-profit organization that focuses on training and development. She holds an MBA in HR management from Pace University.

Marissa Mia

Marissa Mia is PHI’s Administrative Manager. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative operations of PHI. She coordinates all administrative requests, staff travel and lodging, and logistics of large staff gatherings.

Before joining PHI, Marissa was the front office manager at the Franklin Hotel. She holds a degree in Business Management from the Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Baboucarr N’Dow

Baboucarr N’Dow is PHI’s Controller. As assistant to the CFO, he is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.

Before joining PHI, he worked in accounting at for-profit organizations. He also has over 10 years of accounting supervisory level experience in organizations with annual budgets ranging from $10 million to more than $200 million. He has a B.S. in accounting and is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Long Island University in Brooklyn.

Irma Rivera

Irma M. Rivera is PHI’s Director of Information Technology and has several years of work experience with computer systems. She is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure.

Irma received her MPA from the Robert Wagner School of Public Service at New York University and her bachelor’s from the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, New York. She completed the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) coursework in 2000.

Heather Smith

Heather Smith is the Senior Accountant at PHI. Her responsibilities include maintaining PHI’s trial balance and operating budget as well as tracking individual projects, grants and contracts. She reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Before joining PHI Heather had over 15 years experience working in small to medium sized non-profits, from small community based organizations to larger state funded social service non-profits. She received a BA in accounting and business practice from Lehman College (CUNY).

Sandy Smith

Sandy Smith is PHI’s Administrative Associate. Her responsibilities includes implementing basic office procedures and providing general administration support.

Before joining PHI, Sandy was a receptionist / office assistant for a textile company in Manhattan for seven years. She received an administrative intake specialist certificate from CHI Career Services in New Rochelle, New York.
